Sri Lanka-United Nations Friendship Organisation (SUNFO) with the cooperation of Global call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP)  is organizing three days summit at Blue Water Hotel, Waduwa, Kalutara Sri Lanka from 22-24 July, 2008 followed by a Group Tour on July 25 and Youth Rally with SAARC Art Exhibition on July 26.

SUNFO(Sri Lanka-United Nations Friendship Organization) was formed on 22nd May,1999 (National Heroes Day in Sri Lanka) by signing the inaugural declaration of SUNFO in Colombo-Sri Lanka by founder members of SUNFO with the patronage of the Speaker of Parliament of Sri Lanka and with the blessings of Mr. Peter Witham-United Nations Resident Coordinator of Sri Lanka.

GCAP-Sri Lanka
was formed in March 2005 on the initiation of Dr. Deshapriya S. Wijetunge- Director General Sri Lanka United Nations Friendship Organization (SUNFO)/GCAP National Coordinator of Sri Lanka. Initially 22 organizations collaborated with GCAP Sri Lanka and this number is growing day by day.
